SCALE 2026 – Resident & Fellow Podium Presentation Abstract Submission

Residents and fellows are invited to submit abstracts for consideration in the dedicated Resident Podium Session at SCALE 2026. Selected presenters will share their research before a multidisciplinary audience, with top submissions eligible for recognition and/or scholarship support.

Note on Resident Awards & Scholarships

SCALE is actively working to secure dedicated funding to support residents and fellows through awards and/or scholarships. The number of awards, specific amounts, and eligibility criteria are still being finalized. Additional information will be shared as details are confirmed.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Please carefully review the requirements before submitting your abstract:

  • Abstracts must be submitted electronically via the online portal.
  • Length: Limited to 400 words, excluding title, author names, affiliations, and supplementary materials.
  • Format: Divide into Title, Background/Synopsis, Objectives/Purpose, Design/Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
  • Language: English only; ensure accurate grammar and spelling of publication quality.
  • Drugs/Devices: Use generic names only; avoid logos or branded slide content.
  • Proofread carefully to avoid errors before submission.
  • Encore research is permitted but must disclose the original presentation date and venue.
  • Financial Disclosure: All authors must disclose relevant financial relationships and funding support.
  • Ineligible Company Restriction: Presenters may not be employees of ineligible companies as defined by the ACCME.
  • All abstracts must be submitted electronically through the official SCALE submission portal. Each submission must be uploaded individually, and prior abstracts will not carry over or be accepted by email.

ACCEPTANCE & PRESENTATION PROCESS

All abstracts will be reviewed by the SCALE Abstract Review Committee based on quality, originality, and clinical relevance.

  • Accepted abstracts will receive an invitation to present as part of the SCALE 2026 program.
  • Notification of acceptance will be emailed by December 15, 2025.
  • All presenters are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and registration costs. Presenters must be registered as an attendee (not as an exhibitor or guest).

DISCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS

  • You will be required to complete a disclosure form and confirm that your presentation content is free of commercial bias in the submission portal. You may download the PDF form HERE so you have it ready to upload at the appropriate point in the portal. 
  • All accepted presentations will undergo content review by the accredited CME provider before the meeting.

  • Use generic drug names only (no brand names).

  • Do not include figures, tables, or references in the upload.
  • Ensure the file does not exceed 2 MB in size.

Section 4 | ePoster Digital Discovery Lounge – Optional Consideration

The SCALE 2026 ePoster Digital Discovery Lounge offers an interactive and high-visibility way to showcase research, case studies, and innovative work throughout the duration of the meeting.

Located in a dedicated area, the Digital Discovery Lounge features:

  • Large touchscreen televisions displaying accepted ePosters.
  • Searchable displays where attendees can browse topics, authors, and categories.
  • Continuous access for attendees to engage with digital content during exhibit hours.
  • Expanded opportunities for exposure, networking, and ongoing visibility of your work.

Regardless of podium presentation acceptance, authors may choose to have their abstract considered for display as an ePoster in the Digital Discovery Lounge.

Fee Information

  • CME/Educational Abstracts and Residents/Fellows: No fee is required for accepted ePosters.
  • Non-CME/Industry Abstracts: A $1,250 fee per ePoster applies for accepted submissions.

By submitting this abstract, I certify that:

  • The information submitted is true, complete, and accurately represents my research or clinical work.
  • I understand that submission does not guarantee acceptance, and all decisions by the SCALE Abstract Review Committee are final.
  • If accepted, I agree to register as an attendee (not as an exhibitor or guest) and attend the SCALE 2026 Meeting to deliver my presentation as scheduled.
  • I have disclosed all relevant financial relationships and confirm that my presentation will be free of commercial bias and comply with CME standards.
  • I understand that SCALE reserves the right to withdraw any presentation that fails to meet CME or program criteria.
